Is my salary data uploaded to any server?

No. TimeBudget is fully offline. Everything you enter stays in your device's local storage and is never sent anywhere. See our Privacy Policy for details.

How accurate is the after-tax estimate?

It's an estimate only. We use simplified tax brackets for 8 regions (CN/US/JP/KR/GB/DE/HK/SG) and don't account for local deductions, bonus averaging, state/local tax, etc. For actual tax figures, consult your local authority or accountant.

My data disappeared after reinstalling the app.

Expected. All data is stored locally and is cleared when the app is uninstalled. We do not back up user data.

Can I switch between English and Chinese?

Yes. Tap the ZH / EN toggle at the top-right of the Hourly Wage card to switch languages instantly.

How do I reset all my settings to default?

Go to the Settings tab → scroll to "Data management" at the bottom → tap "Reset to defaults" (or "恢复默认设置").
